Raymarine Offers New Autopilots, E-Series Navigation Upgrade

Raymarine Inc. has introduced a new SmartPilot X Series (SPX) Autopilot system. Available in various sizes and configurations for use on any type of recreational boat in any type of water or weather condition, the new line consists of a control head, a wide selection of advanced course computers, and a drive unit.

Control head options include the new ST70 Autopilot Control that, when combined with SPX course computers, offers pre-programmed fishing patterns and the ability to automatically steer an orbit around or make repeat passes over a certain location. The ST70’s Zig Zag mode automatically creates random course changes to make your bait seem more tempting.

SPX course computers come equipped with a rate gyro sensor with SmartPilot Advanced Steering Technology; as well as SmartSteer and Smart Rudder Sense technology. Course computers, compatible with Raymarine’s SeaTalking data network, also feature a new one-button Dodge mode when used with the ST70; improved integration with multifunction displays; and improved hardware including removable connectors, reverse polarity protection and enhanced short circuit protection.

An array of drive units are available and include easily installed cockpit-mounted drives.

In addition to its new autopilot system, Raymarine has released an upgrade to its E-Series Multifunction Navigation System. Available in two display sizes, E-Series v4 features enhanced chartplotting, Platinum Plus compatibility, high-definition (HD) and super HD digital radar, HD digital fish-finder, Sirius Satellite radio service, new data displays and SeaTalk autopilot integration.
